Whisper V1.5, the fifth major update to the Whisper Hearing System, reduces feedback with a new feedback cancellation system and allows more users to be fit with Whisper. A new Android app allows users to control the hearing aid from their phones
SAN FRANCISCO – March 31, 2022 – Whisper today announced its fifth upgrade for its flagship hearing aid, the Whisper Hearing System. Whisper’s V1.5 launch delivers a new feedback cancellation system that improves sound quality and expands the fitting range for the hearing aid to adults with up to 90 dB of hearing loss. Whisper also announced the launch of a new Android app which is available on Google Play.
“This new feedback cancellation system is a great example of the power of having a software-based hearing aid. We were able to collect data and feedback from consumers and hearing care professionals, analyze it, and then create a system that created stronger sound performance,” said Don Schum, Head of Audiology at Whisper. “With this new feedback cancellation system, consumers will be able to hear a wider range of sounds without feedback and access more of the customized range set for them.”
The new feedback cancellation system allows for an expanded range of patients eligible for the Whisper Hearing System – providers can now recommend it for adults with up to 90 dB of hearing loss.
The Whisper Hearing System is available via two payment options and includes ongoing care from a licensed hearing care professional, regular software upgrades, and a 3-year warranty that not only covers the system itself but also loss and damage. Patients can start a monthly plan at $69/month for 36 months or purchase the system for $2,499. To sign up for a risk-free trial of the Whisper Hearing System, visit www.whisper.ai.
